CiiRUS Team Member Spotlight: Meet Marco Cardarelli

Here at CiiRUS, the greatest pleasure of what we do is in building relationships with customers and partners. After all, the travel and hospitality industries revolve around relationships and quality service. We’d like you to meet and get to know the amazing people behind the scenes who help make CiiRUS the leader in vacation rental software.
In this week’s CiiRUS Team Member Spotlight, meet Data Migration Specialist, Marco Cardarelli. Let’s get to know Marco as he shares some insight about himself, his role at CiiRUS, and more.
Briefly describe what your role is at CiiRUS.
My role is data migration, so it consists of importing data such as properties, rates, and bookings into CiiRUS from our new customers' previous systems.
What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is that different challenges come up each day. It makes the job very interesting.
What does your workspace look like?
I’m based in CiiRUS' London UK Division, which is currently working from home. My workspace consists of my desk with one computer and three screens so I can multi-focus and stay productive.
What has been one of your proudest moments working at CiiRUS?
My proudest moment was when I discovered how to automate some very laborious tasks that were getting in the way of creativity. I encourage our team to always be thinking out of the box; we want to get out customers to market more quickly without ever sacrificing the accuracy and integrity of their data.
What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?
In my spare time, I love to write and record music.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by having good honest people around me.
What is something you learned in the last week?
I have learned how to copy features from one property to another in CiiRUS with almost no manual intervention.
If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?
I would choose the ability to upload all of Google’s data into my brain. If I could have this superpower, then I won’t ever have to search another web browser again.
How do you define success?
Health and happiness are fundamental to success. Maybe money has something to do with it, but without the other two, success is not achievable!
What are some words of advice for others in your profession?
Be respectful, patient, have a sense of humor, and be kind.
