CiiRUS Team Member Spotlight: Meet Kyle Kebler

We’d like you to meet and get to know the amazing people behind the scenes who help make CiiRUS the leader in vacation rental software.
In this week’s CiiRUS Team Member Spotlight, meet VP of Project Management, Kyle Kebler. Let’s get to know Kyle as he shares some insight about himself, his role at CiiRUS, and more.
Briefly describe what your role is at CiiRUS.
My role at CiiRUS consists of a number of tasks such as overseeing the research, design, plan, development, and testing of new software projects while coordinating with other teams to produce deliverable products. I also, facilitate coordination between multiple development teams, provide tools and systems to track and manage technical projects, perform SSL binding and website deployment, assist in supporting and resolving escalated support issues and bugs and I help with technical/software consultations.
What’s the best thing about your job?
Getting to tackle new and challenging problems every day.
What does your workspace look like?
My workspace is very cube-like. I try to keep in clean, but I’m usually surrounded by a small sea of post-its that serve as part of my to-do list.
What has been one of your proudest moments working at CiiRUS?
Prior to becoming a developer, I worked as a support specialist, and in my off time, I taught myself programming. So, my proudest moment while working at CiiRUS is when I became a developer.
What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?
I enjoy exploring the outdoors! I go camping, boating, and trail riding every chance I get.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the great challenges of history, and the people that have overcome them. As bad things seem to get, I know humanity has overcome the worst.
What is something you learned in the last week?
In the last week, I have learned that humans contain enough iron to make a 3-inch nail.
If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?
I would pick time control, because who doesn’t want what to turn back the clock.
How do you define success?
Success is looking back at your younger self and wondering if you would be proud of what you have done.
What are five words (or less) of advice for others in your profession?
More work equals more luck.
