CiiRUS Team Member Spotlight: Meet Felipe Vengoechea
Here at CiiRUS, the greatest pleasure of what we do is in building relationships with customers and partners. After all, the travel and hospitality industries revolve around relationships and quality service. We’d like you to meet and get to know the amazing people behind the scenes who help make CiiRUS the leader in vacation rental software.
In this week’s CiiRUS Team Member Spotlight, meet VP of Service and Support, Felipe Vengoechea. Let’s get to know Felipe as he shares some insight about himself, his role at CiiRUS, and more.
Briefly describe what your role is at CiiRUS.
As VP of Service & Support, I oversee the Technical Support Team members. I help ensure that there are technical procedures, documentation, and standard policies put in place to contribute to excellent service. We review them on a regular basis to keep the support team performing within set technical guidelines, performance indicators, and quality standards.
What’s the best thing about your job?
Being part of this amazing team, and helping my teammates grow professionally and successfully in their careers at CiiRUS.
What does your workspace look like?
During the shift to working from home during the pandemic, I needed to be creative and make use of space in my apartment. In that space I have a big table with three monitors and a laptop, a plush doggy on one side, and a plant on the other. Conveniently, there's a bed behind my chair whenever I want to sleep... in my dreams!
What has been one of your proudest moments working at CiiRUS?
One of my proudest moments while working at CiiRUS was when I was given the opportunity to grow within the company. After a lot of hard work in a lower-tier Support Agent position, I was given the chance to become the manager of the department. We've been through many years of growth on the team since then, and have always fostered our philosophy of growth and promotion from within our close team. We really are a family.
What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?
I enjoy going out with my husband - I actually enjoy not knowing what to! We can be spontaneous, improvise, and relax at home of course!
What inspires you?
I am inspired by seeing other people's achievements. This motivates me to achieve mine, as I look past the present and beyond to what the future holds.
What is something you learned in the last week?
Well, it's a crazy world right now... I have learned a handful of conspiracy theories! And was surprised at how convincing some of them were!
If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?
My superpower would be to fly. I frequently have dreams about flying, and I would like to know if it feels the same in real life as it does in my dreams.
How do you define success?
Success is becoming what you truly want to be and not forgetting where you came from.
What are some words of advice for others in your profession?
Always pursue more than what is put in front of you.
